2012 Take the Lake Family 5K Run/Walk

The Children and Family Ministry of Kenosha First Assembly will be holding a “Take the Lake” 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, June 16th at Lake Andrea in Pleasant Prairie, WI. All proceeds from this event will help with the many community service projects we get involved in across the country.

The race is open to all families in both running and walking categories. The registration fee is $25 per racer if registered by June 3rd. After June 3rd the fee is $30. Children 12 and under are FREE. Each paid and registered person will receive a FREE t-shirt. To be guaranteed a T-shirt, participants need to register by June 3rd.

Race day registration and runner’s packets may be picked up from 7:00 -7:30 am., in the Rec Plex Field House 9900 Terwall Terrace Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158. The race will start at 8am.

Child Dedication

On this special day, parents not only dedicate their children, they also commit themselves to be fully devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. The church family also agrees to pray and support every parent as they raise their children in the midst of the congregation. In order to dedicate your child you must have attended the class. Veggie Tales Live: God Made You Special

Bob, Larry and your favorite Veggie friends are singing and dancing their way to Kenosha First Assembly in the all new God Made You Special LIVE tour! Kids of all ages will love this show filled with silly song favorites like "I Love My Lips", the "Hairbrush Song","His Cheeseburger", and many, many more! Join the "God Made You Special" Tour for an unforgettable time of fun, silly and special, from the Veggie Tales crew! Tickets on sale for $15 during weekend services in Journey Kids or during the week at the church office. Tickets can also be purchased online through Ticketmaster.

Pinecar Derby

Get some car-building hints and tips here!Families are invited to build a simple race-car out of a block of pinewood with their children and participate on race day! It’s a great memory and great conversations happen as the cars are made at home.

Car kits cost $5 are now on sale at the kids' Cafe. Registration for the race is $10, which covers the costs for awards and decorations. This year's race is Saturday, March 17 from 9am-noon. Click here for rules and detailed information.
