Have you ever wondered what your kids learn in church? We all have those moments; we jump in the car with the kids; look back at them and ask, "So ... what did you learn today?" Their response? "I don't know."
The Big Idea is what we call it when parents and kids all learn the same topic at church. Parents know exactly what their kids are learning so they can start conversations about it right after church: in the car, at lunch and all week long! So … talk about it together!
Kids are encouraged to take the next step in their faith by:
1. Responding to God in weekend worship services.
2. Making friends in small groups.
3. Serving their community.
4. Talking about God at home.
5. The final step is when kids "show and tell" their faith to a friend and invite them on the journey too!

Journey Kids is a place where the adventure begins! We help kids find "God’s path" for their lives.
Psalms 25:4 (NLT)
Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow.

Serve Team
The Serve Team exists to help mobilize families to serve and give back to their community. This is accomplished through various events and projects designed to help the hurting and less fortunate in our community. These events are focused on the stated needs of our city and vision for our community. The goal of this team is to serve like Jesus.

Family Missions Trip: Studies show that when kids serve others with their family by age 12, they are more likely to keep their faith as an adult. Serving is part of a balanced Christian life and when children see their parents serving it makes a powerful impact on them. These family missions trips are periodically scheduled to meet the needs of families that desire to serve together.
Preteen Missions Trips: Stretching your kids out of their "comfort zones" deepens their connection to Jesus. By being challenged, they learn quickly to look to their faith to see them through. You'll see how God uses the experience of serving others to change lives - in both you and the people you serve. And when you combine meaningful service with daily devotions and powerful, interactive programs, you open eyes and hearts to real growth. Each year, over 90% of campers report growing closer to God!
Annual Outings
Kids Blast: This annual event held at the end of February combines fun and leadership training for kids at the Kalahari Water Park! Kids have a blast and choose from over 40 workshops on Christian leadership and spiritual growth.
Kids Camp: This annual event is a week long camp located in central Wisconsin called Spencer Lake. It is for 3rd – 6th grade kids that want to have fun and grow closer to God. Activities include: Swimming, boating, games, lessons, basketball, sports, great food, and dynamic speakers that inspire kids to grow closer to God.
Father/Son Basketball Game: Each spring, Journey Kids organizes a father/son basketball game to the Milwaukee Bucks to foster positive memories and relationship building for men and boys.
Pinewood Derby: Families are invited to build a simple racecar out of a block of pinewood with their children and participate on race day! It’s a great memory and great conversations happen as the cars are made at home. This event is held each year in the spring.
Father/Son Campout: Get your sleeping bag out and join other boys and men each summer at the father/son campout located at Camp Wilderness in central Wisconsin. This great facility offers swimming, clean facilities, obstacle courses, and great stories around the campfire!
