3) Yard Clean Up // Clean up Kenosha area parks, Senior Center or Journey Church.

The Bridge - 5th Grade // Kenosha

At Journey Kids, we want to build a bridge to continue your child’s spiritual journey into the middle school years.  The Bridge has three purposes: to celebrate 5th graders by having fun, to encourage 5th graders with wisdom from adults, and to provide a memorable experience between each 5th grader and an adult mentor.

5th grade boys will be going to Promiseland Park on May 18 for an afternoon of paintballing, an adventure hike, and a bonfire.  5th grade girls will be coming to Journey Church on June 1 for an afternoon of team-building activities, jewelry making, and some beauty treatment.  Both boys and girls are encouraged to bring an adult same-sex mentor of their choosing to celebrate with them, such as a parent or sibling.  Both boys and girls will have a dinner, have their photos taken, and receive memorable gifts to commemorate this transition.  They will also hear from coaches, pastors, and youth leaders who will speak into their lives about topics like making wise choices, choosing friends, modesty, bravery, and God’s call on their lives.

Registrations are available here, and parent info and FAQs will be uploaded shortly!  We hope to see all parents of 5th graders at one of these meetings.  Your 5th grader will not want to miss this event!

H2O Preview Night // Kenosha

On Wednesday, May 28, you and your 5th grader are invited to an H2O Preview night!  You will get to observe and participate in a youth service, worship together, and glimpse into what your student can expect for next year.

With such a great opportunity available, we don’t want you to miss out!  Please allow us to serve you dinner that night while you meet other parents and our Journey Church youth pastors.  All we ask is that you RSVP to or 262-694-3300 by May 21 for our planning purposes.  The night will consist of dinner together in the north commons at 6:00p, and then as a group we will head over to H2O at 6:30p.

Directly following the service (8:15p), you will have a meet and greet time with our youth leaders in the Fireside room.  The youth leaders will be able to answer questions from parents and students, and each of you will be able to get information on what to expect and how to get involved.  Come prepared to hear their hearts and see their vision, as this may be the next ministry God is calling you to serve in!

Child Dedication // Kenosha

The church family also agrees to pray and support every parent as they raise their children in the midst of the congregation. In order to dedicate your child you must have attended the class. The Dedication Class is going to be held on June 1 @ 9a in room 204.  Forms must be completed and returned no later than May 28.
